Back in 2014, when talking about fishing simulation video games, Carp Fishing Simulator was a must-mention. It’s safe to say that Carp Fishing Simulator was one of the few truly in-depth fishing simulation games on mobile at the time. While it’s now available on many platforms, the mobile version remains the most original. This is the version we want to introduce today.
Realistic fishing gameplay
Compared to today’s standards, Carp Fishing Simulator might not be worth mentioning. However, when it was first released, the game was highly rated and very realistic. Specifically, in the game, you control a character moving around the lake searching for fishing spots. It comes with a very realistic set of fishing gear including rods, lines, rigs, bait, etc. After preparing all the necessary equipment, you can start fishing.
Once a fish bites, you need to carefully reel in the line and pull the rod. If the fish is too big, the line might break. Therefore, you should research the area where you plan to fish to prepare the appropriate equipment. Additionally, if you find playing alone a bit boring, try the multiplayer mode, connect with other players, and participate in online fishing competitions.

In Carp Fishing Simulator, you don’t need to travel far to experience fishing in many different locations around the world. Most of the time, you’ll get to fish in medium to large lakes in various countries such as England, Spain, Japan, France, and more. Of course, at launch, the lakes in the game only reflect the concept and structure of real-life fishing lakes.

- Bluemire Pool: A fishing lake in England, covering approximately 3 acres, a favorite spot for many anglers. It boasts a variety of fish species, including Mirror Carp, Leather Carp, Ghost Koi, Eel, and Rudd.
- Road Lake: Inspired by a famous fishing lake in France, this lake features hard water, making fishing difficult, but it offers many large fish if you are patient.
- Whisker Lake: A large lake in Spain, home to many Catfish, Bream, and Tench.
- Heiwa-Teki: A trip to Japan to experience fishing for the region’s signature fish species, such as Ghost Koi, Tench, Koi Carp, and Golden Tench.
Your fishing gear in Carp Fishing Simulator
With the advancement of technology, fishing equipment has become increasingly diverse. Depending on the type of fish you want to catch or the time you have available, the range of equipment you can use is virtually limitless. However, in Carp Fishing Simulator, the number of tools is limited. At a minimum, you will have the essentials: a fishing rod, a spod rod (for casting bait), a marker rod (for surveying the lake bottom), a rig (for hooks), and bait.

While the overall quality isn’t top-notch, it successfully creates a vibrant natural environment. Although some movements are a bit less smooth, the fishing experience is very stable.
In terms of sound, Carp Fishing Simulator seems to have invested heavily in this aspect. Environmental sounds like wind, flowing water, birdsong, and rustling leaves are quite realistic. The game doesn’t have background music; it relies primarily on ambient sounds. Furthermore, fishing-related sounds like bite alarms, line pulls, and fish struggling are also very lifelike. Combined with somewhat simple graphics, the game still manages to create a relatively realistic environment, providing a good gaming experience.
