Graphics
Epic Stickman features fairly simple 2D graphics. The game’s visuals are designed in a vertical screen layout, with the top half displaying battle progress graphics and the bottom half showing power-up interfaces and function buttons. As the name suggests, the characters in the game are depicted in a stickman style. The scenery and environments in the game are also entirely drawn in 2D. Epic Stickman has quite a few different environmental images, with each level featuring a new environment that matches the context of that level.
Spectacular motion animation
Epic Stickman’s strongest visual aspect is its animation. As a hack-and-slash combat game, movement is crucial for satisfying the player’s visual experience. Naturally, Epic Stickman excels in this area. The combat animations, especially the slashing sequences, are beautifully rendered. Each slash, chop, and blow incorporates various techniques within the principles of movement, making them incredibly powerful.
The character’s posture during each attack is designed to match the strike, and there are transition animations whenever the animation changes. This design makes the character’s movements in Epic Stickman very smooth and prevents any lag due to unsynchronized movements. In addition, the attacks are accompanied by precisely synchronized effects, making the attacks more visually appealing and spectacular.
Ragdoll-style animation mechanism
In Epic Stickman, whenever a human character is defeated, they are affected by a force and sent flying, and this also applies to your character. At that point, the game turns off movement and activates the “ragdoll” effect on that character. Based on physics calculations, the game automatically calculates the movement of the joints in the legs, arms, head, and torso of the sent-away character, causing their body to take on unique and somewhat comical shapes.
Fun idle gameplay
Epic Stickman features idle gameplay. You won’t directly control the character in battle. Instead, battles in the game are automated, enemies are automatically summoned, and the main character automatically attacks any nearby enemy. Your task is to upgrade the character’s stats in the interface at the bottom half of the screen, increasing their power so they can hit harder, defeat enemies faster, and withstand more attacks.
The only combat feature you can control in battle is your character’s skills. Epic Stickman has a virtual button that allows your character to automatically activate skills upon cooldown, located to the left of your character’s skill interface. You can set it to Auto Off to disable this feature and activate it manually by tapping the skill interface.
Manually activating skills will allow your character to cast skills at the right time and with the precision you desire, but it should only be used if the battle is extremely difficult. For most of Epic Stickman, you should let your character use skills automatically and focus your attention on resource stats and upgrades.
Receive rewards even when you exit the game
Because it’s a fully automated game of combat and resource gathering, you might want to keep Epic Stickman running on your device for as long as possible to accumulate resources. However, feel free to exit the game if needed, as it will automatically calculate the resources you can receive while you’re away. The next time you access Epic Stickman, you’ll automatically receive your accumulated resources without draining your battery or requiring you to leave the game running.
