The repetitive role-playing gameplay
The gameplay of Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot is designed with two main phases: the preparation phase and the combat phase. The entire duration of Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot will be a loop of these two phases. You prepare your army, then engage in battle, and then return to preparing your army before the next battle.
Despite its rotational gameplay, the difficulty of Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot increases with each battle. In the early battles, you only face one or a few Orcs with rudimentary weapons and limited stats. However, later on, you will encounter more enemies with heavy weaponry, powerful magic, and in large numbers. Simultaneously, the content of Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot expands, introducing more weapons, equipment, Dwarf troops, and new features. These unlocked new features enhance your army’s potential and refresh the gameplay experience.
Things to do during the preparation phase
In Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot, during the pre-battle preparation phase, you can tap the chest icon to access the weapon and equipment purchase interface. Here, Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot will display three items shown as cards. You can tap the item’s avatar in the center of the card to see its stats. If an item suits your needs, tap the card to purchase it.
If none of the three items in Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot suit your needs, you can tap the dice icon to randomly refresh with three different items. Additionally, Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot has an item locking feature. When locked, the item is fixed, cannot be purchased, and will not disappear when refreshed. You can use the lock feature to keep the item from disappearing until you have enough money to buy it.
Weapons and equipment in Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot are divided into six quality tiers: normal, good, rare, epic, legendary, and mythic. To have a chance to buy high-quality items, you need to use gold to upgrade the shop tier. The higher the shop tier, the greater the chance of obtaining high-quality items.
Recruit Dwarf soldiers, equip them with weapons, and adjust your formation
In Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot, you can use gold to recruit Dwarf soldiers by tapping the horn icon. The recruitment mechanism is similar to buying equipment, except there is no shop-based quality upgrade feature. For the three soldier cards displayed in Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot, you need to pay attention to their stats to recruit the most suitable soldier.
After completing the troop recruitment process, you can open the troop formation adjustment interface by tapping the sword-helmet-shield icon. Here, Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot allows you to deploy up to 10 soldiers into your battle formation. You can also determine the starting positions of your soldiers. Soldiers on the right will have the highest starting position, closest to the enemy formation compared to soldiers on the left. Additionally, you need to equip your soldiers with the weapons, armor, and helmets you just purchased from the shop to enhance their strength.
Combat phase
After completing the preparations, let’s fight alongside your Dwarf army. Before battle, Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot will present you with 3 enemy cards. Whichever card you choose will determine which enemy you must fight. Additionally, you can use gold to refresh the cards and find new enemies that suit your army’s situation. When entering battle, your army will start on the left, and the enemy army will start on the opposite side. Both sides will charge at each other and fight completely automatically. You cannot directly intervene in the battle.
An army is considered defeated if it falls into one of two categories: completely wiped out or pushed back past the 100 mark on the terrain plane. If you win the battle, you will receive gold, items, and experience for your Dwarf soldiers. You will then proceed to the preparation phase before facing different battles. Note that Dwarf soldiers who are unlucky enough to die will not return to your ranks, meaning you will permanently lose them and their equipment.
If all the soldiers in your formation are eliminated, the game will immediately end, meaning you have to start over. However, you will still retain all your Gems and Rune Points – two resources used to upgrade talents. Therefore, even if you fail and have to start over, you will still have a slight advantage over your previous attempt.
