Gameplay
As mentioned above, Lawgivers boasts quite interesting gameplay centered around the politics of your chosen country. Before starting, you can select the difficulty level, a real-world country, and your allies. Then, your task is to become the leader, the president, through elections. The main gameplay consists of weeks, and you can plan for the following weeks if you wish.
Your choices each week can affect key indicators in Lawgivers’ parliamentary elections, such as the country’s economy, social welfare, and public sentiment. Additionally, you can use your assets, including illicit money, to pursue political goals. Experience the tutorial levels to better understand this captivating political game.
Weekly selection and your turn
In the early stages of Lawgivers, we have to go through a short period before the election takes place. If you have some understanding of politics, you can easily grasp this. Each week is also a turn, and you can choose to create:
- New Event: Includes a Protest to adjust Happiness stats or other options in subsequent stages.
- New Interview: Create a press conference for someone in your political faction to increase their influence and assert your faction’s political stance. You can also choose press conference formats like Primavera or Il Giornalone.
- New Poll: Select the questions you want to use to reassess your allies.
Furthermore, as we progress through the stages, we have more options such as running for office, drafting new bills, etc. The time it takes to win a seat in the Senate is not too short, but it’s also not long enough for you to relax. Be cautious because other countries are very powerful.
