The gameplay is simple: your task is to move stones by tapping on a column already loaded with stones (starting column), then tapping on the column you want to move the stones to (destination column). You can only move stones from one column to another if they are directly connected, or connected via one or more intermediate columns.
The number of stones you can move is calculated based on the number of columns from the starting column to the destination column. For example, if counting from the column immediately following the starting column and including your chosen destination column results in 2 columns, you can move 2 stones from the starting column to the destination column.
In Mystic Pillars X Kantara, you cannot actively decide how many stones you bring to the finish line. All moves follow the stone movement rules mentioned above. Additionally, you cannot make a move if the number of stones in the next column to the finish line exceeds the number of stones on the starting column. To increase the challenge, Mystic Pillars X Kantara limits the number of moves you can make in a level. Your remaining moves are displayed in the “Moves Left” section on the upper right side of the screen.
On the same interface, each level will present you with a template. The number of stones on your columns must match the template for you to win that level. Conversely, if you use all your moves and the number of stones on the columns in the level still doesn’t match the template, Mystic Pillars X Kantara will display “Out Of Moves” and you will have to replay that level.
Fast replay mechanism
Because it’s a challenging puzzle game, you might have to replay many levels before figuring out how to pass. Understanding this, Mystic Pillars X Kantara has optimized the reloading feature throughout the game. If you run out of moves without achieving the level’s objective, or if you still have moves but realize you miscalculated, you can tap the virtual circular arrow button in the upper right corner of the screen. The level will then reload immediately, returning all the stones on the pillars to their original positions. You can try again instantly, without a loading screen, saving you time.
The aforementioned mechanism in Mystic Pillars X Kantara is a small but extremely important feature, allowing you to freely experiment and make mistakes without being bothered by reload times.
