Gameplay
UnderGuild: Offense boasts quite interesting gameplay, combining various elements. Here, you must both survive waves of monsters in the dungeon and recruit heroes to fight alongside you. Each time you defeat a dungeon monster, you gain experience and level up. At this point, you can choose one of three special cards, such as recruiting more heroes or other power-up cards. This is probably not unfamiliar to most players today.
Another interesting feature of UnderGuild: Offense is the hero combination mechanism in combat. With two identical heroes, you can create a new, more powerful hero. Not only that, if you possess a certain hero combination, you can even summon a higher-level, more powerful hero. Many interesting characters
Currently, UnderGuild: Offense boasts an extremely large number of heroic characters. They are all monsters, inhabitants of the dungeon, but all share the goal of fighting against the dark enemy. Each character possesses unique strengths of their species, such as Goblins being agile, Orcs having high health and resilience… Therefore, we can create countless different team compositions to participate in battles in the dungeon.
In the early stages of the game, most of these heroes are locked. The unlocking method differs slightly for each hero type:
- Common: Known as the regular hero characters like Knight, Goblin, Orc… You can unlock them by acquiring these character cards after completing certain levels or through gacha at the shop.
- Legendary: Possesses greater power and is only unlocked when you combine certain Common heroes in battle.
- Mythic: The unlocking method is quite similar to Legendary, but requires Legendary heroes to combine. For example, Ice Golem requires the trio of Tiny but Mighty Mummy + Doom Skull + Orc to create.
Build your team
To successfully complete the dungeon levels, you need a strong team. Although you have a large number of heroes, you can only bring a maximum of 6. Therefore, you can create countless different team compositions. However, to optimize your team’s strength, you should choose Common heroes that can be combined to create powerful Legendary or Mythic heroes. Experience the tutorial levels to better understand this mechanism. Sometimes you need to bring some relatively weak heroes, but they are the materials to create stronger heroes that can carry the team.
Graphics and music
The appeal of UnderGuild: Offense comes not only from its gameplay but also from its graphics and music. In terms of graphics, this game takes us to a dungeon world with 2D cartoon-style top-down graphics, strongly reminiscent of dark dungeons in a fantasy setting. Additionally, each character is designed quite simply, even somewhat cutely, which is highly appreciated by many players. The combat effects are also quite polished.
The game’s music isn’t highly rated, but personally, I find it quite relaxing. The gentle, adventurous fantasy background music in the lobby and the intense combat soundtrack successfully create the right atmosphere for a dangerous place like a dungeon. The remaining sounds are rather basic and not worth mentioning.
