Aerospace simulation gameplay
Ellipse: Rocket Pioneer boasts relatively complex gameplay with numerous mechanics. Your goal is to launch a rocket into the air, adjust its trajectory, and land safely after completing the flight. The game has 8 missions. In the early missions, you simply launch the rocket, detach parts in mid-air, and land. In later missions, you may be required to fly around the Earth or even to other planets.
At the start of the launch process, you will be taken to the launch station with your rocket. Use the virtual button in the bottom right corner of the screen to launch the rocket. You can also use this virtual button to detach the launch components when fuel runs out, making the rocket lighter. The two virtual arrow buttons at the bottom of the screen are tools to adjust the rocket’s direction. You can use the Map to track the rocket’s current position and projected trajectory.
Additionally, Ellipse: Rocket Pioneer offers a time-speed feature, allowing for faster launch and testing. You can use this feature with the virtual arrow button next to the clock in the upper right corner of the screen.
Missile assembly mechanism
This is a very interesting mechanism in the gameplay design of Ellipse: Rocket Pioneer. You can freely create rockets to your liking. In assembly mode, you will be taken to the rocket engineering room. Here, Ellipse: Rocket Pioneer will provide you with an interface exactly like common 3D design software.
You can tap the hammer icon on the left edge of the screen to bring up the missile parts interface on the right edge. Once the parts interface appears, select the missile parts you want to assemble and drag and drop them into the technical room. In the center of the technical room is a main axis, which helps to accurately attach the parts you drag and drop.
If you want to discard a part of the rocket, press and hold it and drag and drop it onto the “trash can” icon on the right side of the screen. Note that each added part increases the rocket’s weight. Weight is a very important parameter in Ellipse: Rocket Pioneer, affecting the launch process in the game.
Adjusting missile components
Once the components have been placed in the technical room, you can move them to different locations using the component movement interface. You can activate this interface using the virtual button with three arrows on the left edge of the screen. In this interface, each time you move a component in the technical room, Ellipse: Rocket Pioneer will simultaneously display three arrows (green, red, and blue) in the center of that component.
These three arrows will help you move the component vertically, horizontally, and vertically. You should move the components so that they are connected to each other and no component stands alone. Components that are not connected to the rocket will be removed before launch.
Additionally, you can adjust the size, dimensions, length, and color of the rocket’s components. You can use this function by clicking on any component in the control room during the component selection interface. In the size adjustment interface, Ellipse: Rocket Pioneer provides two sliders: Radius to adjust the size and Height to adjust the length.
Some components also have a color selection interface so you can change the color to your liking. Adjusting the size of a component will also change its mass, as well as the overall mass of the rocket.
