Introduce about Sea of Stars
Sabotage Studio is an indie studio in Canada, the studio behind the popular game The Messenger. And today, the game we want to introduce to you is also set in the universe of The Messenger, called Sea of Stars. Accompanying characters who possess the power of the sun and moon, many challenges, monsters, and stories await us.
What’s happening in Sea of Stars?
In Sea of Stars, we journey into a fantasy world filled with magic, monsters, and heroes. Between light, darkness, and the cycles of the universe lies an incredibly fragile balance. The emergence of an evil entity known as The Fleshmancer has disrupted this balance. He is known as a dark sorcerer capable of creating malevolent magical creatures, Dwellers, who are slowly but surely destroying this world.
The Fleshmancer is nearly invincible; his only weakness is Eclipse Magic – a power forged from the combination of sun and moon power. Therefore, our story revolves around two young Solstice Warriors who possess both of these powers: Valere with moon power and Zale with sun power. They leave the monastery amidst world chaos and embark on a journey to defeat the mighty Fleshmancer. Are you ready to join them?
Gameplay
Sea of Stars is considered a game full of adventure and exploration. Join us on the story, the adventures of Valera and Zale, with many exciting things ahead. Along this journey, you will face many powerful monsters and learn many more combat skills. You can also form a party of up to six members for easier battles. New characters frequently appear, and you can team up with them during combat and story exploration.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Sea of Stars lies in its combat. Battles against enemies are turn-based and interactive. This is a form of turn-based combat, but not as passive as traditional JRPGs. Whether it’s your turn or your opponent’s turn, you can press certain buttons to use skills that increase damage or reduce damage taken. This makes battles much more dynamic and satisfying.

Sea of Stars doesn’t have specific levels, but rather a continuous world with a vast map. However, this isn’t an open-world game; it simply connects different areas together. During gameplay, you can move to new areas by defeating enemies, unlocking vehicles, etc. Of course, you can also return to areas you’ve already visited to continue exploring hidden regions.
In addition, each area in Sea of Stars usually has quite a few interesting things to offer. These could be simple puzzles or defeating monsters to unlock the next area. - Cooking: Collect and process ingredients to create dishes that can restore HP and MP, enhance certain stats, and provide buff effects.
- Wheels: A signature mini-game of Sea of Stars found only in towns. This is a type of strategic board game that you should experience when you have the chance.
