Although it first appeared in late 2023, it won’t be officially available on Android until March 2025. Introduce about Slime 3K
Konfa Games is a small indie studio from Russia. Despite its small size, they are quite well-known for their creative roguelike games. A prime example is Slime 3K, released in 2025. Featuring diverse gameplay that combines elements from other hits like Vampire Survivors, Halls of Torment, Brotato, Soulstone Survivors, and 20 Minutes Till Dawn, this game quickly gained popularity and high praise from the gaming community.
Background
According to information from the developers and what we’ve learned, Slime 3K takes place in a fictional future. In this world, humans no longer rule. Instead, it’s an evil AI called Despot. Despot has controlled this world for over 3000 years, turning humans into a resource to be exploited and recycled. They aren’t born normally but are mass-cloned to serve Despot’s purposes.
Our story revolves around a bio-slime – created by Despot to digest and process humans in a mysterious chain reaction. This slime suddenly gains consciousness and independent thought, ultimately rebelling against its creator. It’s neither a hero nor a true warrior, but simply seeking survival. Defeating Despot is perhaps the only thing this slime considers most important right now. Do you agree with this idea?
Gameplay
After playing Slime 3K for a while, I personally find that this game is a combination of many different genres. You can see some characteristics of popular games like Vampire Survivors, Halls of Torment, Brotato, Soulstone Survivors, and 20 Minutes Till Dawn… Not only that, each feature offers exciting, even crazy, experiences.
To progress through the levels, you need to acquire powerful weapon cards. The card-matching mechanism, similar to AutoChess, surprised me, as many games in the same genre usually allow players to upgrade weapons instantly. This is also considered a strong point and a unique feature of Slime 3K. Furthermore, this game holds many other interesting things waiting for you ahead.
Build your deck
To fight off the waves of “artificial humans” in each level, our Slime needs a variety of weapons. These are represented by weapon cards, clearly categorized into Tiers S, A, B, C, and D. Of course, Tier S is the highest; these cards are usually quite rare and possess considerable power. Each tier has approximately 16 cards, and you can carry a maximum of 40 cards in battle.
When you enter the shop in each level, it only randomly gives you a few weapon cards. Exchanging them will cost money, and the probability of getting those cards depends on the slime’s level, so consider this carefully. Additionally, the upgrade slots are limited, so you might have to discard unnecessary cards. The weapon upgrade mechanism is quite similar to AutoChess games. For example, to get a level 3 Rocket Launcher card, you need 3 level 2 Rocket Launcher cards, which is equivalent to 9 level 1 cards.
Slime’s journey in Slime 3K
In Slime 3K, you need to control a slime on a long journey to survive and gain experience. You don’t have to worry about failing a level; everything will be retained, such as character experience and received cards. Of course, winning will bring attractive rewards. In each level, you must survive for a certain amount of time between waves of “clones” and defeat the final boss.
Additionally, after a certain number of levels, you’ll face increasingly difficult levels, both in terms of waves and boss power. As you progress through each stage, Slime 3K reveals a bit of the story and the character’s next steps. You can choose to continue or return to previous levels to hone your skills. While not an open world, Slime 3K still allows you the freedom to experiment. Start at the Maintenance Facility, traverse the Hallway of Death, and move forward.
