For each version, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered provides you with 5 save locations in the settings interface. You can save or open your progress at any time, without any conditions. Additionally, the save locations display the location and time so you can easily identify them when you open your progress.

Graphics are the most significantly improved aspect of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered. Compared to the original Tomb Raider I, II, and III, which were released back in the late 1990s, the graphics in Tomb Raider I-III Remastered are a remarkable improvement. This Remastered version can run at standard 1080p resolution.
All objects, from the main character – Lara Croft, to the environment, buildings, and scenery, have been completely redesigned. The 3D models in the game have a higher polygon density and a restructured design, giving them a smoother feel rather than the rough texture of the previous versions. The details on the 3D objects have been upgraded to a higher resolution and are sharper.
Several modern post-processing and shading techniques have also been applied along with improvements in Tomb Raider I-III Remastered. The game incorporates techniques such as Blinn-Phong light reflection and half-Lambert shading, rather than just artificial shading using textured surfaces. Therefore, the environmental lighting in Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is much more beautiful and realistic, providing an extremely captivating visual experience for a game that’s several decades old.

The cutscenes are the only content that hasn’t received any upgrades. This can create a huge difference between the visuals during gameplay and those in the cutscenes. Players who haven’t played the previous versions, or are new to the game through Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, might find the experience a bit strange. However, this is only a minor drawback as cutscenes aren’t a major component of the game.
The control design is compatible with touch screens
Like other games, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered provides a joystick in the bottom left corner of the screen, while the right edge of the screen features virtual buttons to control Lara Croft’s actions. A truly valuable improvement, a major plus for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, is the free-rotating camera angle control mechanism.
Specifically, all three original games lacked this mechanism; the camera would automatically switch angles at predetermined positions. However, with Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, you can freely control the camera angle by touching and moving your finger on the right side of the screen, which lacks virtual buttons. This newly added mechanism is very much in line with modern trends, making the player’s control experience much more free and comfortable.
